Design and create
The joy of making your own clothes is that it yours, it's unique and nobody can change that! I have decided to do some designing and fashion making in the holidays (December holidays I mean). I will be sure to post some pictures of my designs on the blog so keep posted for that ... I am feeling inspired

'You don't have to try'
What inspired me to write about this was the song I heard by Colbie Caillat, and it really got me thinking why we all try so hard. Why do we try so hard to fit in with what society 'depicts' is right? And so of course with this blog being mainly revolved around fashion it got me thinking about fashion and why we all dress and conform so much to societies boundaries of what fashionable is. With some more thought it came to me that so many would say 'we simply do because it's what everyone else does' and so that's when I would say 'isn't that exactly what society is and what society wants?'. So here is a challenge to you, this is for the ones that do conform, to the ones that aren't bold enough to dress the way they truly want to: go out and be bold, don't try to fit in with society because you are who you are and you should not be ashamed for that person. 'I am proud of who I am today because I worked hard to become me.' Now I say to you, go out and be you, dress how you want to because if everyone did that then society may not depict that anymore, and if you think about it, the fashion industry may just boom more that way. Be bold and be daring because that way you will become more unique. Don't fit in with society, make society fit in with you.

That Hat.
Yes, a hat to some may seem to be such a trivial part of an outfit, I am sure they would question 'why even wear it if you are going to take it off?', but to others [me] a hat means the world to any outfit. This is not to say wear a hat at any moment with any outfit, no, that would be wrong, that would be like washing paint over the Mona Lisa, ruining a perfect piece of art. In the past, a hat could be worn to show a particular social status, but now-a-days it is worn mostly as a fashion accessory. One of my personal favourites in the hat department is the Fedora Hat, yet following close behind has to be the Beret. The Fedora hat, to give everyone the background, is a men's soft felt hat with a brim and lengthwise crease in the crown, it has been adopted by women. The name Fedora was after the heroine of Victorian Sardou's drama presented in Paris in 1882. And who can forget the Carmen Floppy Hat featuring a wide brim. All these hats have been fashion icons, some new some old and lets not leave out those that are being made everyday. After all, where would the hat industry be without Milliners? And besides, whats more to love then an outfit made from any person's style complete with the perfect hat?

How I figure it
As John C. Maxwell states, 'You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.' I found that on basically the first page of a book that I am reading. Isn't it crazy how you find inspiration in even the smallest things of life, you see for me this is how I figure things are, when you find inspiration you are lead on an amazing journey. Not only are you inspired, but you are also on a journey to success. When you feel inspired you strive for the best, the absolute best that you can be. Some may 'agree to disagree' or even 'beg to differ' but that's the beauty of it, the beauty of life. Every being is made with a different thread of life, and somehow I believe that all our threads of life are intertwined.

Next Years Plans
Seeing as this year is coming to a tasteful end, what are all the plans for the next year. Will you be starting your year by wearing a 'timelessly glamorous' pair of $1, 290.00 Louis Vuitton heels, or will you be on the other end, shining the shoes of those you are yearning to impress. Will you be parading your style at high class events or will you be at the sewing machine, making the outfits for those to wear. Or will you be the one who is stuck between, the one who is not quite on the Guest List but still has a keen eye for fashion, the one browsing the stores, imagining yourself in the decadent outfits that meet the presence of your eye. Let's just say that whatever your plans are, for those of you that have big dreams, those that are growing their dreams, and those whose dreams have been accomplished, don't stop dreaming, living, or believing, always remember that: 'The mind is everything, what you think you become - Buddha'
